首先是在中國時報看見一則即時新聞，報導「澳洲」國會即將討論同性伴侶合法化草案。我在想，現任澳洲總理不是一個大保守派的白人嗎？怎麼有可能大選在即，拋出一個干犯自己保守選民的作為？

澳洲今天開始修法，如果通過，將允許同性戀伴侶獲得平等待遇。
跟根澳洲司法部長〔伯格〕提出的草案，澳洲將允許同性戀伴侶登記同居，他們可以享受跟異性戀伴侶幾乎完全相同的權利，但稍有不同的地方是，同性戀伴侶沒有領養權；同性戀伴侶如果分手，必須雙方都同意，有爭議可循法律途徑解決。
澳洲司法部長提出的同性戀伴侶法條，需要經過一個司法小組討論，然後提交澳洲國會審查；國會通過後，就可以實施。

結果查對其他國際新聞報導，如美國同志新聞www.365gay.com，竟然是「奧地利」即將討論同性伴侶關係法草案。你說奧地利與澳洲英文容易渾淆也就罷了，新聞通常會註明報導消息來源，維也納辨識度這麼高的城市，不會也認為這是「澳洲」的首都吧？中文報導誤植、白字也就罷了，簡短的即時新聞竟不像中文語法，倒像是翻譯軟體的句子！這還能稱為「中文」記者嗎？

Austria To Consider Civil Partnerships

(Vienna) Draft legislation was introduced in the Austrian Parliament on Wednesday that would allow same-sex couples for form civil partnerships.
The bill was filed by Social Democrat Justice Minister Maria Berger, and follows more than two years of lobbying by LGBT groups seeking recognition for gay and lesbian relationships.
The bill would give same-sex couples the nearly all the same rights as married couples, except in the area of adoption. It also would allow for the dissolution of a partnership either by mutual consent or through the courts.
In presenting the draft bill Berger said that the legislation would not alter existing laws governing marriage, but would be a "stand alone" law.
She also dispute criticism that it was "marriage light".
The draft will be sent to committee where it is likely to undergo modifications before being submitted to Parliament for a vote later this year.
Berger's Social Democrats are part of a coalition with the conservative People's Party. That party has steadfastly refused to consider any legislation recognizing same-sex relationships.
How the bill will fare in Parliament is not known. A majority of members of the PP still oppose gay partner rights.
